Investigation into FIFA’s Ticketing Practices
In a significant move aimed at addressing rising ticket prices and allegations of misleading seat assignments, New York and New Jersey officials have taken action against FIFA. On Wednesday, both states’ Attorney Generals announced they have issued subpoenas to the soccer governing body as part of an investigation into the ticketing practices for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup matches.
