However, Curry quickly responded with two consecutive baskets that reestablished Golden State’s double-digit lead. Early in the matchup, Golden State set the tone by connecting on 15 of 31 three-point attempts before halftime, with eight players contributing to their long-range success. Notably, Buddy Hield and Moody each hit three three-pointers prior to the halftime break. Hield notably sparked the Warriors with back-to-back three-pointers early in the second quarter, which culminated in a 19-8 scoring run, propelling Golden State to a commanding 40-24 lead.
In the second quarter alone, the Warriors managed to extend their advantage to 16 points on three separate occasions, with the largest lead reaching 22 in the third quarter after Curry hit two free throws to make it 91-69.
