In response to the NYSAC’s ruling, Mielnicki took to social media, expressing his frustration and denouncing Coyle’s actions. The 23-year-old rising star stated:
“Connor Coyle suspended indefinitely for failed drug test. Cheated the sport, cheated yourself, and still couldn’t beat me. It was a majority draw on paper (I don’t know how), but it still wasn’t on my level. Respect the sport, real fighters don’t need shortcuts!”
