Ticket Sales for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup

Starting Wednesday, fans have a chance to secure tickets for the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. However, this initial ticket access phase is exclusive to Visa cardholders and will not be open to the general public.

Initial Ticket Access Phase

This draw begins at 11 a.m. ET on September 13 and will conclude on September 19 at the same time. Successful applicants will be informed on September 29 and will receive a designated time slot to finalize their purchases beginning October 1. While tickets for all 104 matches will be available, simply receiving a purchase window does not ensure that tickets can be obtained.

Subsequent Ticket Draws

Following this initial draw, an “early ticket draw” is set to take place from October 27 to 31, with purchase windows anticipated to occur from mid-November to early December. Subsequently, a “random selection draw” will occur after the final draw on December 5 in Washington, D.C., determining the tournament’s match schedule. FIFA has indicated that additional tickets will be made available closer to the tournament on a first-come, first-served basis and has plans for an official resale platform.

Ticket Purchase Limitations and Pricing

Purchases will be limited to four tickets per individual for each match and no more than 40 tickets can be purchased across the entire tournament. Notably, FIFA has announced that this World Cup will introduce dynamic pricing for the first time, whereby ticket prices will fluctuate based on demand for specific games. The initial price range for tickets will be from $60 for group matches to a staggering $6,730 for the final, marking a significant increase from the last World Cup held in the U.S. in 1994, where prices ranged from $25 to $475. The previous tournament in Qatar in 2022 featured ticket prices between $69 and $1,607.

World Cup Details

The 2026 World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19 and will be the largest World Cup yet, expanding from 32 to 48 participating teams. The tournament will take place across 11 venues in the U.S., three in Mexico, and two in Canada. In the United States, matches will be hosted in major cities including New York/New Jersey, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco Bay Area, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Philadelphia, Kansas City, and Boston. The U.S. team is set to begin its campaign on June 12 in Inglewood, followed by games in Seattle and returning to Inglewood.

Host Cities in Mexico and Canada

In Mexico, matches will occur in Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Mexico City, while Canada will host games in Toronto and Vancouver. Additionally, 15 teams have already qualified for the tournament, including Japan, New Zealand, and Argentina, among others.

Concerns Over Ticket Pricing

Recently, New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani voiced concerns over FIFA’s pricing strategy, expressing that the high costs may prevent many local residents from attending the event in their own city.
