Betts delivered an impressive performance with 26 points and eight rebounds, while teammate Kiki Rice contributed significantly with 18 points and six assists.

This win marks UCLA’s 23rd consecutive game triumph, equaling the longest winning streak in the program’s history from the previous season, and extending their impressive run to 22 consecutive victories in the Big Ten, which began during last year’s conference tournament run.

The Huskies, who now have a record of 21-10, saw Avery Howell top their scoring charts with 18 points, while Brynn McGaughy contributed 12 points. Sayvia Sellers, an all-conference selection, struggled offensively with only 10 points on 3-of-11 shooting after her standout performance the day before where she scored 25 points against Southern California.

The matchup did not unfold as anticipated, with Washington initially seizing a 13-6 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Bruins coach, Cori Close, was prompted to call a timeout when the Huskies increased their lead to 22-12 midway through the second quarter. Washington began the third quarter strong, regaining a 34-33 lead thanks to a 3-pointer from Elle Ladine. However, UCLA quickly responded as Kiki Rice sank the Bruins’ first 3-pointer of the game, followed by two free throws and a scored basket by Betts that helped UCLA stretch their lead to 40-34. The game remained competitive until UCLA finished the third quarter with a 7-0 run, pulling ahead 49-41 and maintaining control into the fourth quarter.
