In a formal response to President Donald Trump, the United States women’s hockey team, which recently clinched a gold medal, has chosen not to attend his upcoming State of the Union address. Due to this timing, as well as challenges to shift previously arranged commitments, the decision was made for the team to decline. The White House has not yet commented on the responses from either team.
