Tyson Fury Seeks Trilogy Showdown with Usyk in England, Demands Fairness

Tyson Fury’s Ambition for a Trilogy

Tyson Fury is eager to face Oleksandr Usyk for a third time and aims to host the anticipated trilogy in his home country of England. Fury has voiced his belief that the officials misjudged the outcomes of their first two encounters, both of which unfolded in Saudi Arabia. Despite nearly being knocked out in their first meeting, he maintains confidence that he can secure a favorable outcome at home, particularly after Usyk accepted a rematch against Daniel Dubois to be held in the UK.

Usyk’s Upcoming Fight and Fury’s Intentions

Following two losses to Usyk, Fury announced his retirement from boxing, with both decisions adding to the pressure he feels. Usyk is set to face Dubois at Wembley Stadium on July 19, with the ambition of reclaiming the title of undisputed heavyweight champion. Should Usyk succeed, Fury expressed his willingness to challenge him again, potentially at the National Stadium.

Fury’s Thoughts on the Upcoming Match

During a media session at the IBA Golden Era event in Istanbul, Fury remarked on the possibility of Dubois springing a surprise against Usyk. He acknowledged Dubois’ youthful ambition and physical strength while also noting Usyk’s extensive experience in the ring. However, Fury seems to cast doubt on Usyk’s previous victories, suggesting they weren’t deserved.

“I believe I deserve the fight in England and I want it to be a fair one,” Fury said. He emphasized his desire for transparency in the boxing match, stating he doesn’t seek any special treatment, only an equitable outcome.

Reflecting on their second bout, Fury claimed,

“I thought I won it by five rounds. I’ve reviewed the fight repeatedly and never found a scenario where Usyk could be declared the winner.”

Looking Ahead

With two controversial fights behind him, and at 38 years old, Usyk’s future in the ring is uncertain, but Fury is keen to return only if he feels the playing field is level.
