Contract Extensions for Key Players
Tottenham Hotspur has announced an extension of contracts for four key players in their first team, ensuring the continued presence of Ashleigh Neville, Olga Ahtinen, Kit Graham, and Josefine Rybrink at the club for another year. The update was shared in a press statement from the club this afternoon, reaffirming their commitment to these crucial team members.
Player Highlights
Leading the way is Ashleigh Neville, who stands out as Spurs’ most enduring player after joining from Coventry United in 2017. The tenacious full-back has showcased her talents over more than 150 matches for the team, establishing her as a reliable asset in this North London outfit.
Olga Ahtinen, the Finnish international, has been with Spurs for the last two seasons and has contributed significantly with 28 appearances in the Barclays Women’s Super League, netting two goals along the way.
Joining the club in 2019 from Charlton Athletic, forward Kit Graham has demonstrated resilience despite facing injury challenges that have hindered her playtime. She is nearing her 100th appearance, a milestone that reflects her dedication to the team.
Swedish defender Josefine Rybrink, a recent addition to Spurs earlier this year, has already made six appearances during her brief tenure.
Departures from the Academy
In a related development, the club has announced that several academy players, including Persis Oteng, Emily McMaster, Liamara Hensel-Burg, Maia Lazaro, Eloise Hall, and Elkie Bowyer, will be departing the organization. Unlike their senior counterparts, these youngsters will not transition into the club’s first team as they seek opportunities elsewhere.
