Toronto’s Hockey Hall of Fame Unveils Olympic Memorabilia Featuring Jack Hughes’ Goal Puck

New Exhibit at the Hockey Hall of Fame

In a significant addition to its exhibits, the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto recently launched a new collection featuring memorabilia from the Milan Cortina Olympics. Among the highlight artifacts are the pucks that were instrumental in securing gold medals for both the men’s and women’s U.S. hockey teams, with Jack Hughes and Megan Keller scoring decisive overtime goals against Canada.

Jack Hughes and the Puck

Jack Hughes, who plays as a center for the New Jersey Devils, expressed a desire to possess the puck he scored with, which he hopes to present to his father, Jim. Despite previous comments indicating uncertainty about its whereabouts, it turns out that the Hall of Fame has been safekeeping the puck all along.

Significance of the Artifacts

Jamie Dinsmore, President and CEO of the Hockey Hall of Fame, remarked on the importance of these artifacts, stating, “These donated items represent defining moments on the world’s biggest stage and carry powerful stories of national pride and hockey history at its highest level.”

He emphasized that the display for the 2026 Olympics will allow visitors from around the globe to appreciate these unforgettable moments in Olympic history.

Exhibit Highlights

The exhibit also features over 70 items, including sticks from American player Brady Tkachuk and gloves belonging to Jack Eichel, in addition to jerseys worn by notable figures like Canadian captain Sidney Crosby and Swedish forward William Nylander. This showcase promises to be a lasting tribute to the spirit of competition and the legacy of hockey at the Olympics.
