Toa Mata’afa Extends Contract with York Knights

Toa Mata’afa, the 28-year-old full-back for York Knights, has officially extended his stay with the club, fresh off a thrilling campaign in the 2025 season following their promotion to the Super League.

Impressive Performance in 2025

During his inaugural year with the Knights, Mata’afa showcased his talent in 19 matches and played a pivotal role in securing 12 tries, contributing significantly to the team’s success in clinching the 1895 Cup and reaching the Championship Grand Final.

Looking Forward

Having previously spent two years in France with Baroudeur de Pia and FC Lezignan, Mata’afa is eager about this next chapter.
