Three Players Reassigned from Blackhawks to Rockford IceHogs

Chicago Blackhawks Roster Update

In a recent roster update, the Chicago Blackhawks have decided to reassign three players – Kevin Korchinski, Drew Commesso, and Stanislav Berezhnoy – to their AHL team, the Rockford IceHogs. This decision comes after the players were temporarily brought up to the Blackhawks due to a series of absences within the team caused by illness.

Player Performances

Kevin Korchinski made his NHL debut for the current season with two appearances for the Blackhawks, during which he logged one assist, took two shots, and ended with a minus-2 plus/minus rating.

Similarly, Drew Commesso also joined the Blackhawks roster for the first time this season, participating in two games as well. His performance saw him achieve a win-loss record of 1-1-0, complemented by a .917 save percentage and a 2.50 goals-against average. Notably, he secured a 36-save shutout against the Nashville Predators in his latest game, marking a strong start to his tenure in the NHL.

On the other hand, Stanislav Berezhnoy did not have the opportunity to step onto the ice in a game during his stint with the Blackhawks. This reassignment marks a chance for him to regroup and refine his skills with the IceHogs.

Looking Ahead

This roster shuffle introduces a fresh chapter for these players, as they aim to demonstrate their potential with Rockford.
