Matas Vokietaitis had a stellar showing with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Jordan Pope added a significant 15 points, scoring 12 of those in the pivotal second half. The match saw a critical moment when Nicholas Randall executed a put-back dunk following a missed layup, leveling the score at 41-41 with just over 14 minutes left on the clock. The game experienced a brief delay of about 20 minutes due to the late arrival of an official, attributed to heavy traffic caused by a vehicle accident. Notably, the match was a sellout event at Mizzou Arena, which accommodates 15,061 fans.
