In a dominant performance on Wednesday night, No. 16 Texas Tech cruised past Colorado with a commanding score of 78-44. Donovan Atwell led the charge, contributing 20 points, which included six successful three-point shots.

Colorado’s Struggles
Colorado struggled significantly, with Isaiah Johnson and Ian Inman scoring 13 and 12 points, respectively. The Buffaloes faced an uphill battle throughout the night, shooting just 29.1% from the field, their lowest mark of the season, and only 24% beyond the arc.
Colorado managed to take a brief lead early on when Barrington Hargress hit a jumper, but it was short-lived as Atwell quickly responded, sinking a three-pointer that ignited Texas Tech’s scoring run. The Red Raiders dominated the first half, going into halftime ahead 39-22, and they continued to extend their lead after halftime, scoring the first eight points following the break and ultimately never looking back.

This performance stands in stark contrast to their previous meeting in Boulder on January 10, where Texas Tech narrowly won 73-71 despite leading by 24 at one point. Following this defeat, Colorado, which started the season strong at 8-0, has now dropped eight of their last ten games.
Looking ahead, Texas Tech will face a challenging matchup against No. 1 Arizona on Saturday, while Colorado will visit No. 22 BYU the same day.
