Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr’s Contract Situation

“I’m very comfortable going into the season with a year left,”
Kerr stated. He emphasized that he is in sync with the team’s general manager, Mike Dunleavy, and owner, Joe Lacob, suggesting that discussions about his future aren’t urgent. “I love my job,”
he said.
“I can’t wait to get to the building. Hopefully I’m here for another few years. But I think it makes sense for the organization and for me to see where this thing is at the end of the year.”

Reflecting on the previous season, Kerr signed a substantial two-year extension worth $35 million following intensive negotiations, but he clarified that he does not foresee a similar situation this season.
“I don’t anticipate any negotiation during the season,”
he remarked, remaining unperturbed by the status of his contract. Kerr voiced confidence that waiting to consider future options serves both him and the Warriors well.
