Stephen Curry’s Rehabilitation Update
Stephen Curry will not accompany the Golden State Warriors on their upcoming three-game road trip as he continues his rehabilitation from a bruised right quad, head coach Steve Kerr announced following the team’s recent loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. This injury has sidelined Curry for the last couple of games, during which the Warriors managed to secure one win and suffer one defeat.
“It was always a long shot for him to participate in the back-to-back games, and with our next match not scheduled until Friday, it makes complete sense for him to rehabilitate at home,” Kerr stated, as reported by Ana Thanawalla of NBC Sports Bay Area.
His rehabilitation will be supervised by Rick Celebrini, the team’s director of sports medicine and performance. With the Warriors set to return after the road trip, they have ample time for Curry to recuperate before their showdown with the Minnesota Timberwolves next Friday.
Monitoring Jimmy Butler’s Condition
Furthermore, the team is also monitoring the condition of Jimmy Butler, who left the game against Oklahoma City due to knee soreness. Kerr indicated that there were no updates regarding Butler’s status at the time, and the franchise has yet to release any information regarding his potential availability.
Warriors’ Current Performance
Currently, the Warriors stand at an even 11 wins and 11 losses this season, displaying a slight net rating of +0.4. However, those numbers plummet significantly to -1.8 when Curry is not on the court and a staggering -10.8 when both he and Butler are absent.
