In a press conference held Monday, defenseman Nils Lundkvist of the Dallas Stars addressed the media for the first time following a harrowing injury he sustained during the playoffs against Minnesota.
Injury Details
Lundkvist has a noticeable cut on the left side of his face, a result of an accidental skate blade incident that occurred in Game 4. Fortunately, he reported that the injury wasn’t as severe as it appeared, stating:
“It looked way worse than it is. I got not too many stitches, just a deep cut. I was pretty lucky in an unlucky moment.”
Despite a visible gash near his temple, Lundkvist managed to walk into the room without any bandage, showcasing his determination to move forward.
