As part of the exciting festivities for the NBA All-Star Weekend, the Shooting Stars Challenge is making its comeback today, featuring an electrifying showdown among four teams, each composed of three competitors. The unique twist to this event includes the presence of both current NBA stars and iconic legends, with each team showcasing a distinct theme. Notably, one team comprises family members, while others draw inspiration from collegiate affiliations and team loyalties.
Rising Stars Challenge Recap
In an earlier game of the Rising Stars Challenge, Dylan Harper secured the winning points for Team Melo, which triumphed over Team Austin led by Ron Harper Jr. This familial trio will unite again in the Shooting Stars contest, alongside their father, Ron Harper Sr.
Team Lineups
Duke University’s legacy will shine as Team Cameron, named after the renowned Cameron Indoor Stadium, fields Jalen Johnson, Kon Knueppel, and former player Corey Maggette. Additionally, Team All-Star will feature Scottie Barnes, Chet Holmgren, and the celebrated Richard Hamilton, with all three having claimed All-Star titles in their careers.
The team representing the Knicks includes current NBA players Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, alongside Allan Houston, who was an All-Star in the years 2000 and 2001 during his New York tenure.

Structure of the Challenge

The team amassing the highest score in the final round will claim the prestigious title of challenge champion.
