Despite her success, she faced a strong challenge from the 19-year-old Mboko, who is a rising star after her victory at the 2025 Canadian Open. Sabalenka expressed satisfaction with her performance, particularly regarding her serve, boasting a remarkable first-serve percentage of 94% while successfully saving five break points during the match.
