Garcia, who gained the WBC welterweight championship by besting Mario Barrios earlier this year, shared his thoughts about the upcoming fight.
“We are fighting September 12 in Vegas. It’s personal because he’s been talking a lot—talking some crazy things,”
he stated. He recounted a particular incident where Benn confronted him at an award ceremony two years ago, asserting that such past exchanges contribute to the intensity of their upcoming battle.
Predicting a decisive victory, Garcia confidently claimed,
“I’m really going to put a whooping on this man, and we will send him back to the UK sipping on some tea.”
