Shimron Hetmyer provided some resistance with a rapid 75 off 42 balls, but their innings was cut short, and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj stood out in the bowling department with figures of 2-22. Markram acknowledged that Maharaj’s tight bowling was crucial in keeping the West Indies’ total manageable and averting a larger chase for his team.
