In an exhilarating overtime showdown, the No. 20 Princeton women’s basketball team claimed its 14th straight victory by edging out Harvard 82-79 in Princeton, New Jersey. Madison St. Rose and Ashley Chea stood out, each contributing 19 points to help secure the win for the Tigers, who now boast a record of 16-1 overall and are undefeated in the Ivy League at 4-0. Princeton’s climbing success is reflected in their ranking, which marks their highest since 2015 when they finished the season at 13th.

The action picked up in the final quarter with Princeton establishing a 57-50 advantage by scoring eight of the first ten points, six of which came from Toby Nweke. However, in a dramatic finish to regulation, Harvard responded with two quick 3-pointers, the second of which allowed them to briefly lead at 64-61 with only 4.9 seconds remaining. In a clutch moment, Chea converted a corner 3-pointer just before time expired, sending the game into overtime after a Harvard turnover.
Overtime Performance
In overtime, Princeton quickly jumped ahead, scoring the first five points to lead 69-64. Apart from St. Rose and Chea, Olivia Hutcherson made valuable contributions with 14 points, while Skye Belker added 13 points. Fadima Tall rounded out the effort with 11 points, nine rebounds, and five steals.
Harvard’s Standout Players
Harvard, despite the loss, showcased a strong performance from Karlee White, who scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Saniyah Glenn-Bello also played well, contributing 16 points.
