Philadelphia 76ers Sign MarJon Beauchamp
In a recent move to bolster their roster, the Philadelphia 76ers have signed MarJon Beauchamp to a two-way contract, as announced on Friday. This decision marks a strategic shuffle in the team’s two-way player slots just days before the commencement of the new year in 2026.
Beauchamp’s Performance and Background
Beauchamp, a 6-foot-7 wing, started the season with an Exhibit 10 deal after joining the franchise in October. So far this season, he has made a significant impact in the G League, playing seven games with the Delaware Blue Coats and averaging impressive stats—20.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.
Prior to his tenure with the Blue Coats, Beauchamp kicked off his professional journey with the G League Ignite and was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks as the 24th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Over the course of his NBA career, he has participated in 135 games, averaging 4.1 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.
Upcoming Games and Team Status
As the Sixers prepare to take on the Chicago Bulls for the first game of a five-game road trip, reports from Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer indicate that Beauchamp has joined the team in Chicago. The current injury status for the Sixers includes several players: VJ Edgecombe, Dominick Barlow, and Quentin Grimes are all listed as probable, while Joel Embiid is questionable due to right knee management. Additionally, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trendon Watford will remain sidelined due to their respective injuries.
Roster Changes
Notably, Beauchamp’s signing comes on the heels of the team waiving rookie Hunter Sallis, also on a two-way contract. Both Dominick Barlow and Jabari Walker have become integral parts of the squad, with Barlow demonstrating his versatility by starting 15 games and averaging 9.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 0.8 steals per game.
