Oasis members Liam and Noel Gallagher faced mixed reactions from their fans during a recent concert at Heaton Park, Manchester, when they dedicated a performance of ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’ to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
The tribute was met with a chorus of boos from sections of the crowd, despite Liam’s enthusiastic introduction of Guardiola as “the greatest manager of all time.”
This gesture came during the band’s homecoming concert, marking their first performance in Manchester in over 16 years, part of a highly anticipated reunion tour.

While many fans chose to voice their discontent, Noel Gallagher confronted the hecklers by exclaiming:
“Who you f—ing booing?”
The Gallagher brothers, born and raised in Manchester, are ardent supporters of City, having witnessed the team’s successes during Guardiola’s tenure, which includes six Premier League titles among numerous other achievements.
Guardiola’s Reaction
Despite the mixed response, Guardiola took the moment in stride, showing no visible irritation. He joined the audience, which exceeded 70,000, in singing along to the band’s iconic track “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” indicating his enjoyment of the event.
The Heaton Park shows are part of a five-concert series that follows the band’s tour kickoff in Cardiff, Wales, the previous week.
