EA Sports has made a point of noting that it is currently gathering insights from players, which will inform future updates to improve overall gameplay. Several key areas under investigation include:

Be A Pro Mode Adjustments
While the update mainly centers on improving the game’s technical performance, it also introduces adjustments to the Be A Pro mode that pertain to the calculations used for health and form scores.
Patch 1.1.1 Improvements
Here are the detailed improvements included in patch 1.1.1 for NHL 26:
- Resolved an issue in World of CHEL where players marked as AFK (away from keyboard) were not ejected from the game.
- The health system received tuning, now considering Time on Ice (TOI) as a factor, resulting in a decrease in health penalties for hits delivered, hits taken, and blocked shots.
- Minor adjustments to the form score values enhance balance during games that are less eventful for the player, refining factors such as Goals, Assists, Power Play Points, Short-Handed Points, Body Checks, Plus/Minus, Giveaways, Takeaways, and Shots.
- Fixed a bug that hindered access to the Custom option during gameplay.
- Addressed a misalignment in Draft Interview dialogues that affected the correct impact from Brand, Management, or Teammates.
- Resolved issues with the generation of line chemistry from X-Factors.
- Corrected a problem preventing conversations with AHL coaches.
- Fixed a crashing issue that occurred when players aimed to earn the Quick Draw X-Factor through a season goal while editing lineups.
- Addressed a bug where completing training camp objectives prohibited access to the Auction House.
- Corrected matchmaking errors that presented Ranked players with error messages.
