Exciting news for basketball fans as the NBA is making a comeback to NBC, marking its return after a 24-year absence. Streaming live on Peacock, the network will showcase over 100 games throughout the season, featuring star players, intense playoff rematches, and long-standing rivalries across the league.

The weekly offerings will include three marquee nights: Peacock NBA Monday, Coast 2 Coast Tuesday, and Sunday Night Basketball, with programming set to begin after the conclusion of the NFL season.
Season Launch Details
The season launches on October 21, with an electrifying double-header on NBC kicked off by the Houston Rockets facing the reigning NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder. This match is particularly significant as it coincides with the Thunder’s ring ceremony and championship banner raising.
Following that, a legendary clash between Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors and LeBron James’s Los Angeles Lakers will take center stage, promising a thrilling start to the season.
Peacock NBA Monday Schedule
Every Monday from October 27 onward, fans can tune in to Peacock NBA Monday, featuring up to three streamed games. The inaugural event includes a doubleheader where the Cleveland Cavaliers will take on the Detroit Pistons, followed by a Western Conference showdown between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Highlights of this segment include a pivotal matchup on March 9, where last season’s MVPs Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokic will face off in Oklahoma City.

The schedule for Peacock NBA Monday is as follows:
- Mon., Oct. 27: Cavaliers at Pistons (7 p.m.), Nuggets at Timberwolves (9:30 p.m.)

To celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 19, 2026, NBC will feature a quadrupleheader streaming on Peacock with some of the league’s top talents, including matchups such as the Bucks against the Hawks and a showdown between the Celtics and Pistons.
