Recently, he achieved a remarkable milestone by participating in his 346th consecutive game, surpassing the previous record of 345 held by former Red Wings player John Ogrodnick.

“I take a lot of pride in being available,” Seider mentioned. “You work hard in the summer to be in shape and stay healthy, and along the way you just try to maintain form. Obviously, I’ve been blessed with being healthy and being able to get out there and fight every night.”

Looking back, Seider remembers his rookie season fondly but acknowledges the challenges of adapting to the NHL compared to his previous experiences in the German and Swedish leagues. New cities, unfamiliar restaurants, and countless hotel stays contributed to a sense of excitement, but he admits it was mentally taxing.
“Every city is new, you kind of find your way around… It’s the biggest difference,” he reflected.

Continuing his ascent, Seider was honored with the Calder Trophy as the league’s top rookie and extended his contract with the Red Wings for eight years before the start of last season.
