In a thrilling match against UMass, which took place on Tuesday night, Miami secured an 86-77 triumph, propelled by an impressive performance from Peter Suder who contributed 23 points to the scoreboard.

Another key player for Miami was Luke Skaljac, who scored 16 points and facilitated seven assists, further enhancing his team’s strong showing. Despite the RedHawks’ offensive prowess, UMass, now holding a record of 15-12 (6-8 Mid-American Conference), put up a valiant effort with Isaiah Placide leading their charge, netting 19 points, supported by Leonardo Bettiol with 18 points and nine rebounds, and Danny Carbuccia who added 15 points.

Nevertheless, Elmer quickly rebounded with his own three-pointer, regaining momentum for the RedHawks, followed swiftly by Suder’s layup that pushed Miami ahead by five points.
From that point on, UMass struggled to close the gap, unable to get within three points of Miami’s lead. With this victory, the RedHawks aim to extend their unbeaten streak to 27 games when they face Bowling Green on Friday, while UMass prepares to host Buffalo in their next matchup on Saturday night.
