Manchester City has come to an agreement with the Premier League regarding a contentious issue concerning the governance of associated party transactions (APTs). As part of this resolution, City acknowledges that the existing APT regulations are “valid and binding.” This development marks a significant conclusion to their previous legal contestations regarding rules that were modified by league clubs in response to an earlier lawsuit initiated by City itself.

In a broader legal context, Manchester City is currently also embroiled in another series of over 100 allegations concerning financial misconduct, which they staunchly deny. This case, examined by an independent commission from September to December of the previous year, is still awaiting a verdict.
