In a thrilling matchup on Tuesday night, the Utah Mammoth clinched the first wild-card position in the Western Conference by defeating the Winnipeg Jets with a score of 5-3.

Nick Schmaltz played a pivotal role in the victory, netting two goals for the Mammoth. His first came early in the second period, precisely at 4:54, during a power play, with crucial assists from teammates Mikhail Sergachev and Dylan Guenther. Schmaltz then secured his second goal of the game at 7:16 in the third period, again on the power play, supported by Logan Cooley and Clayton Keller.
