Lionesses to Mark Historic Euro 2025 Championship Win with Parade in London

The Lionesses Celebrate Euro 2025 Triumph

The Lionesses are set to honor their recent triumph at the Euro 2025 with a celebratory open-top bus parade scheduled for Tuesday. This event will take place along The Mall, culminating in a ceremony at the iconic Queen Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace.

On Sunday, England made history by successfully defending their Women’s European Championship title, triumphing over Spain in a dramatic penalty shootout. This monumental win marks a first for any senior England team, as they became the first to claim an international title while playing abroad.

Homecoming and Celebration Details

The players will arrive home from Switzerland on Monday, where they will first attend a reception at 10 Downing Street hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner. Following this, their celebration will kick off on Tuesday at 12:10 p.m. BST. The bus parade will traverse the streets before the formal ceremony at Buckingham Palace that is anticipated to begin at 12:30 p.m. BST. This event will be led by presenter Alex Scott.

Expressions of Pride and Unity

FA chief executive Mark Bullingham expressed immense pride in the team’s achievement, highlighting their groundbreaking accomplishment as both champions for a second consecutive time and the first England senior squad to secure a tournament title on foreign turf.

“Our history-making Lionesses are champions of Europe for the second successive time, and we know the nation shares our pride,”

Bullingham stated.

The parade is not just a celebration, but also an opportunity for fans to unite with the athletes and be part of this historic moment.

“We received incredible support from our fans, both in Switzerland and back home. We eagerly anticipate creating unforgettable memories together during this joyous occasion.”
