A new clip published on the NHL “X” account has revealed that Landon DuPont, a highly touted prospect in the realm of hockey and the anticipated first overall selection for the upcoming 2027 NHL Entry Draft, had fond childhood memories as a Vancouver Canucks fan.
DuPont’s Rising Career
Currently showcasing his skills with the Everett Silvertips, DuPont has made history as the first defenseman in the Western Hockey League (WHL) to earn the prestigious “Exceptional Status”. Notably, he’s not the only high-profile player to have expressed admiration for the Canucks; both Connor Bedard, who was the first overall pick in 2023, and 2024’s top pick Macklin Celebrini have also noted their support for Vancouver.
While Bedard and Celebrini hail from British Columbia, DuPont’s roots are in Alberta, where he played at Edge School in Calgary prior to his WHL career.
