In a thrilling rematch on Tuesday night, Inter Miami CF triumphed over the Seattle Sounders with a score of 3-1, significantly changing the narrative after their loss to the Sounders in the Leagues Cup final just two weeks earlier. In that final held on August 31, Seattle had claimed victory with a decisive 3-0 win.

Lionel Messi was instrumental in Miami’s comeback, contributing to the win with a goal and an assist. The sequence began in the 12th minute when Messi delivered a perfectly placed outside-of-the-foot pass to Jordi Alba, allowing him to score the opening goal and give Miami an early lead.
Messi almost doubled the advantage in the first half; however, his attempt in the 28th minute struck the post after a similarly ambitious play. The Argentine superstar later showcased his skill again in the 41st minute, where Alba returned the favor by setting up Messi for a well-timed finish, bringing the score to 2-0 at halftime.

As the second half unfolded, Miami extended their lead further when Ian Fray scored from a corner delivered by Rodrigo De Paul, marking a commanding 3-0 advantage.
