Medical Response
Medical staff attended to Koné for approximately 15 minutes on the field before he was ultimately taken off on a stretcher after halftime. In a statement shared via social media, Manchester United confirmed that Koné was “conscious, stable, and in communication with the medical team” and that he was transferred to a hospital for precautionary examinations.

Tamworth FC posted a message on their X account stating that the match needed to be abandoned due to the medical circumstances and promised that more information will be provided later. They extended their well-wishes to all Manchester United supporters, staff, and players, particularly hoping for a swift recovery for Sékou Koné.
