Upon arrival, officers found that Walker, 25, had checked in with Delta Airlines and had declared a firearm, which was reportedly unloaded and secured, but he did not possess a valid New York license to carry it.
Walker’s attorney, Arthur Aidala, indicated that the player voluntarily revealed the firearm during the airport check-in process. According to Aidala, the arrest stemmed from the firearm license’s invalidity in New York State, and he is optimistic about a favorable resolution, asserting that they expect the charges will soon be dismissed.
