Giorgio Chiellini Joins LAFC Ownership

In a significant move for both Giorgio Chiellini and Los Angeles FC, the Italian football legend has been welcomed into the club’s ownership group, the MLS team announced on Tuesday. Chiellini, who concluded his illustrious playing career with LAFC at the end of 2023, expressed his excitement about this new chapter in a recent statement.

“Becoming a part of the LAFC ownership is a tremendous privilege for me. From the moment I joined this fantastic club three years ago, I sensed its unique spirit. This is an organization marked by ambition, extraordinary individuals, and a community that truly embraces you as part of their family. That’s why I conveyed my desire to invest in this club last year, and now I’m elated to support a vision I truly believe in.”

Chiellini’s New Roles

In 2024, Chiellini held the role of player development coach at LAFC and also took on an executive position at Juventus, where he focused on building relations with football bodies both domestically and internationally. LAFC’s lead managing owner, Bennett Rosenthal, expressed gratitude for Chiellini’s commitment, stating:

“We are privileged to have Giorgio continue his legacy with us as part of our ownership group. His exceptional leadership and professionalism have always shone through, and his values resonate perfectly with the direction we envision for LAFC. We are proud to call him a friend and now a partner.”
