NBA legend Paul Pierce, a former star of the Boston Celtics, was allegedly apprehended for driving under the influence in Los Angeles late Tuesday night, as confirmed by the California Highway Patrol. At approximately 10:30 p.m., police discovered the 47-year-old Pierce asleep at the wheel of his Range Rover on a freeway. This discovery occurred while authorities were investigating a separate multi-car accident in the northbound lanes of the 101 freeway, not far from where Pierce was parked.

Upon noticing the stationary vehicle, officers observed signs that suggested Pierce may have been impaired, prompting them to initiate a DUI investigation. Paul Pierce’s Basketball Career
Originally hailing from Oakland, California, Pierce made a name for himself in high school basketball at Inglewood and was selected as a McDonald’s All-American in 1995.
