In a thrilling Atlantic Coast Conference showdown, Florida State triumphed over Notre Dame with a final score of 82-79, thanks in large part to Chauncey Wiggins, who contributed 22 points to the win. The Seminoles, now boasting an 11-12 overall record and 4-6 in the ACC, started strong with a remarkable offensive display, connecting on five consecutive three-pointers which propelled them to an early 17-2 advantage just 6 minutes into the game.

By halftime, Florida State extended their lead to 41-32. However, the second half saw Notre Dame (also 11-12, 2-8 in the ACC) fight back valiantly. As the clock wound down, Lajae Jones sealed the victory by making two crucial free throws with 35 seconds left, followed by Martin Somerville making one of two free throws. Alier Maluk capped off the scoring with another pair of free throws, concluding the contest. Wiggins showcased his shooting skills, finishing the game with five threes out of ten attempts. Alongside him, Robert McCray V added 15 points matched by Alex Steen‘s ten points and nine rebounds, while Jones contributed 11 points.

For the Fighting Irish, Braeden Shrewsberry led the team with 18 points, supported by Jalen Haralson who scored 15 points before fouling out. Cole Certa chipped in 14 points, and Sir Mohammed made a notable contribution with 11 points off the bench.
