FC Barcelona Acquires Roony Bardghji
FC Barcelona has finalized the acquisition of talented winger Roony Bardghji from Danish club FC Copenhagen. The 19-year-old has penned a four-year deal with the Catalan giants after his contract with Copenhagen was nearing its expiration this December.
Immediate Integration into the Team
The agreement allows Bardghji to transition to Barcelona without delay, with plans to integrate him into Hansi Flick’s first team promptly, ahead of the upcoming preseason training set to start next Monday.
Recent Performance and Injury
Bardghji’s recent performance was limited to just six matches during the latter part of the 2024-25 Danish Superliga season due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury he suffered in May 2024. Before this setback, he was hailed as a rising star in European football, netting 10 goals across 36 games that season.
Barcelona’s Strategic Move
Barcelona’s interest in enhancing their attacking options was previously reported, especially after they missed the chance to sign Nico Williams, who opted to extend his contract with Athletic Club until 2035.
International Experience
In addition to his club experience, Bardghji has represented Sweden at the youth level, earning nine caps for the Under-21 team, and has a total of 84 first-team appearances for Copenhagen, scoring 15 goals.
