Milos Kerkez Transfer Update
Milos Kerkez, a defender currently with Bournemouth, is on the brink of transferring to Liverpool, according to his father, Sebastijan, who confirmed that the move is nearly finalized. He revealed this on the Super Indirektno podcast, stating, “It’s only Liverpool for us, and we have no intention of negotiating with any other teams. Everything regarding personal terms has been agreed upon, and we just need to finalize minor details to complete the deal.”
Agreement and Financial Details
Reports from ESPN indicate that the Premier League champions have reached an agreement for the Hungary international valued at approximately €45 million ($51.99 million). This move comes as Liverpool aims to enhance their defensive capabilities, particularly on the left side, following the acquisition of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen to reinforce their right flank.
Confidence in the Deal
Sebastijan Kerkez also expressed confidence in the arrangement, suggesting that whatever Liverpool’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, dictates, the family will follow.
If he tells us to go to India, we’ll go to India; everything is set as far as we are concerned, with just a few loose ends to tie up.
Midfield Enhancements
In addition to bolstering their defense, Liverpool has also made strides to improve their midfield. They recently agreed on a deal to secure Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, a transfer that could escalate to £116 million after initial bids of £100 million were tabled and denied by the German club, who initially sought a fee of £126 million for the talented playmaker.
