“I can’t say anything,”

“I’m okay with that,”
he remarked, adding that they would discuss his contract after addressing the current season’s final 15 games.

Malkin expressed both optimism and commitment, stating,
“I want to just play. I told him I want to play next year.”
The Penguins are currently in a favorable position in the NHL’s Metropolitan division, tied for wins with their previous season’s total and holding an 85.3% probability of reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2022.
