Everton Secures Young Full-Back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich

Everton Signs Adam Aznou

In an exciting addition to their squad, Everton announced on Tuesday the acquisition of 19-year-old left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich. The deal, which is estimated to be around £8 million (approximately $10.7 million), comes as the Premier League side looks to bolster its defense in light of Ashley Young’s departure earlier this summer.

Aznou’s Background

Aznou, who has already represented Morocco three times at the international level, was born in Barcelona and is a product of the reputable La Masia academy, making him eligible to represent Spain as well.

Aznou joined Bayern last year but managed only a couple of Bundesliga appearances with the German champions. Last season, however, he showed his potential while on loan at Real Valladolid in LaLiga, where he made 13 appearances.

Player’s Enthusiasm

Expressing his enthusiasm about joining the club, Aznou said, “I’m so happy to be here. I’m so proud to be part of this team. The project they presented to me is really good, and I’m thrilled to play in the Premier League, which I consider the best league in the world.”

He further revealed that a conversation with Everton manager David Moyes greatly influenced his decision, stating, “He spoke with me about the team and his vision, which inspired my choice to come here. His words instilled confidence in me, prompting my quick decision to sign up.”

Everton’s Summer Signings

With this latest signing, Aznou becomes the fourth player that Everton has brought on board this summer, joining midfielder Carlos Alcaraz, striker Thierno Barry, and goalkeeper Mark Travers.

As the preparation for the upcoming season intensifies, Everton will face preseason matches against West Ham United, Manchester United, and Roma ahead of their Premier League debut against Leeds United on August 18.
