Denver Nuggets Sign Tim Hardaway Jr.
The Denver Nuggets have successfully signed veteran guard Tim Hardaway Jr. to a one-year contract, according to reports from ESPN. Hardaway’s move comes off the back of a notable season with the Detroit Pistons, where he played a key role in the team’s turnaround during the 2024-25 season, which helped them secure a playoff spot.
Hardaway’s Performance with the Pistons
During his time with the Pistons last year, Hardaway made a career-high 77 starts, contributing with averages of 11 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. This performance marked his most significant season since entering the league 12 years ago.
Originally acquired from the Dallas Mavericks, Hardaway was a pivotal figure in Detroit’s impressive turnaround, helping the team bounce back with 30 additional wins compared to the previous season.
Nuggets’ Recent Activity
As for the Nuggets, their recent activity in the trade market has been noteworthy. In addition to Hardaway’s signing, they completed a trade involving Michael Porter Jr., sending him to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for forward Cam Johnson. Furthermore, they also brought in free agent Bruce Brown. Most recently, the team acquired center Jonas Valanciunas from the Sacramento Kings, trading Dario Saric in the process.
