Darren Till Joins BKFC
Darren Till, the former UFC fighter and Misfits Boxing participant, has reached an agreement with BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) to join their roster, marking a significant new chapter in his combat sports career. The announcement came on Tuesday, revealing that Till’s first fight with the organization is scheduled for May 30 at BKFC 90, taking place at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England.
Negotiations and Future Matchups
The journey toward this partnership has been a rocky one, with negotiations between Till and BKFC often marked by tension over the years. A notable point of contention has been discussions surrounding a potential matchup against BKFC standout Mike Perry, a clash that now seems more plausible with this new deal in place.
Till’s Statement and Intentions
“I am very pleased to be signing with the BKFC. It’s an amazing promotion! For everyone on this roster, I’m coming to be the face of violence. No one can beat me.”
This bold statement underscores his intention to make a powerful impact in the bare-knuckle scene. While the specific opponent for Till’s debut remains unannounced, he is set to compete in the 185-pound category.
Comments from BKFC Founder
BKFC founder David Feldman also commented on Till’s addition, stating, “Darren and I have been talking and the timing is perfect for him to make his BKFC debut. I’ve watched Darren compete for the last few years and he’s a tremendous and exciting addition to our team.”
Till’s Career Journey
Once regarded as a rising star in the UFC, Till jumped into professional MMA with a remarkable record, starting with an unbeaten streak that included six successful fights in the UFC Octagon. However, after facing the top challenge from Tyron Woodley for the welterweight title in 2018, his trajectory shifted. Following a series of disappointing results, losing five out of his last six UFC fights, he exited the organization in 2023.
Despite these setbacks, Till found new success in Misfits Boxing, where he quickly became a fan favorite. He fought three times in 2025, securing victories over Anthony Taylor and Darren Stewart, and then achieving a notable knockout against former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, ultimately winning the inaugural bridgerweight title in August.
Transition to Bare-Knuckle Fighting
Earlier this week, Till took to social media to share that his exit from Misfits was amicable, hinting at an upcoming significant announcement — which turned out to be his new venture with BKFC. Till’s transition to bare-knuckle fighting is poised to ignite interest among fans and could usher in another exhilarating chapter in his already colorful fighting career.
