Darren Till Eyes December Match Against Andrew Tate Amid Boxing Triumphs

Darren Till’s Transition to Boxing

Darren Till, a former UFC fighter, is making significant strides in his boxing career after transitioning from mixed martial arts. Following his recent victory at Misfits Boxing 22 on August 30, Till maintained his perfect boxing record, delivering a stunning knockout against Luke Rockhold, a former UFC middleweight champion, in the third round. This win effectively marked the end of Rockhold’s boxing endeavors.

Future Plans and Potential Opponents

All of Till’s professional boxing bouts have taken place in 2025, and while he revels in his success, he is eyeing his next fight. During a guest appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, the 32-year-old boxer indicated that he is eager to return to the ring by December this year. He suggested that controversial influencer Andrew Tate, who is currently embroiled in numerous legal troubles, is likely to be his next opponent. Reports have surfaced that Tate is in advanced negotiations to participate in Misfits Boxing, despite facing serious legal issues on multiple fronts due to charges related to human trafficking and other crimes.

“I’m definitely fighting again this year. December,” Till confirmed.

He speculated that their potential match would probably be shorter than eight rounds, as he could only secure a six-round fight against Rockhold. Till highlighted that weight classes are not a major concern for him.

Career Opportunities and Financial Incentives

The boxer’s recent victory against Rockhold was the conclusion of his contract with Misfits, and while he is open to a return to the promotion, he also has an eye on possibly re-entering the UFC or pursuing opportunities with the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) based on where he can maximize his earnings.

Till has made it clear that fighting Tate is not just a sporting event for him, but a significant career opportunity.

“I think all parties want it. Andrew Tate is definitely interested, or he wouldn’t have tweeted me back,” Till stated, emphasizing the financial reward associated with the bout.

Given Tate’s notoriety, Till believes this fight could elevate his status considerably.

“You fight Andrew Tate, you don’t have to think about working again. Obviously, the money is tasty for him as well,” he explained, estimating a 75% likelihood that the fight will occur.

Other Potential Match-Ups

Following his knockout victory, Till also teased a potential match-up with retired boxing legend Carl Froch, with whom he has exchanged competitive banter online. Though Till felt Froch seemed indifferent during their interactions at the event, he noted that promoter Eddie Hearn might be interested in making this fight a reality.

Dwindling interest in a future face-off with bare-knuckle boxing star Mike Perry was also mentioned, as both fighters had navigated their careers through the UFC welterweight division. Till acknowledged frequent discussions with Perry’s management, albeit jokingly. However, Perry’s upcoming focus is on his bout against Jeremy Stephens at BKFC 82, leaving Till to emphasize his continued commitment to traditional boxing for the time being.

“I don’t need that in my mind right now. Right now, [BKFC] is just not for me. I just don’t want that type of damage,” Till declared, emphasizing his current preference for safer competition.
