Cooper Flagg: A Young Basketball Prodigy
At just 13 years old, Cooper Flagg demonstrated his exceptional abilities on the basketball court in Newport, Maine, towering over his peers at 6-foot-6.
Competing with others his age proved to be no contest, prompting his trainer, Matt MacKenzie, to push Flagg to face tougher competition.
Facing Tougher Competition
To escalate the challenge, MacKenzie arranged for Flagg to practice against Ja’Shonté Wright-McLeish, a sophomore guard for the University of Maine, with the intent of disorienting Flagg through physical play.

However, just a week later, Flagg returned to the court with renewed confidence, and this time, he decisively triumphed in the matchup against Wright-McLeish, showcasing his potential against a Division I athlete.
