Glass was taken off injured reserve, having been out for seven games due to an injury he sustained on October 21 during a match against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Before his injury, the 26-year-old had recorded two goals in the first six games of the season.
Meanwhile, Connor Brown’s return is still on hold as he continues to recover from an undisclosed upper-body injury, keeping him out for three consecutive games. The 31-year-old had made a solid impact before his injury, contributing five goals and one assist across 11 games.

Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe shared insights on the situation following the morning skate, stating, “Glass came in feeling better than expected from yesterday and is good to go. On the other hand, Brown wasn’t feeling as good and isn’t at the level they need him to be, so it will take longer for him to return.”

During Glass’s absence, New Jersey managed a respectable 4-2-1 record, although they struggled on a recent road trip, losing three out of four games. As they prepared to face Montreal, who are also atop the Eastern Conference standings, the Devils aimed to regain their momentum.
