In a spectacular display of skill and power, Christian Mbilli scored a decisive victory over Maciej Sulecki to capture the WBC Interim super middleweight championship. The bout took place on Friday at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City, where Mbilli, who remains undefeated with a record of 29 wins, showcased his punching prowess by achieving a swift first-round knockout, marking the 24th stoppage of his professional journey.

Following this impressive win, Mbilli is eyeing a potential clash with the reigning unified champion Canelo Alvarez, although he acknowledged that a title defense may be on the horizon first, especially with Alvarez focusing on his forthcoming matchup against Terence Crawford. “I feel great. I feel very satisfied with my victory. The emotions are still settling, but I’m very happy,” he reflected. “I was expecting everything. I told myself that with every opportunity, he would pay for it. I knew that every time he’d leave an opening, I’d take advantage of it.”

As he looks ahead, Mbilli plans to confer with his team regarding his next steps in the ring, hinting that negotiations for future fights are forthcoming.
