Chelsea Women Extend Maika Hamano’s Contract
Chelsea Women have officially announced the extension of Maika Hamano’s contract, now set to keep the Japanese forward at the club until 2029. The 21-year-old talent made her way to Chelsea in January 2023 from INAC Kobe Leonessa and soon after had a brief stint on loan with Swedish club Hammarby.
Hamano’s Impact at Chelsea
Since her arrival in London, Hamano has become a key player, netting nine goals in 39 games across all competitions. During her first full season with Chelsea, she contributed significantly by appearing in 30 matches and scoring six goals, helping her team secure a domestic treble.
