“I truly believe in Como’s long-term vision. I came here as a player and I’m extremely content, as this environment allows me to work according to my own style.”

The timing of these announcements comes shortly after Inzaghi’s resignation, which he conveyed to fans through an open letter on the club’s website. The decision followed a disappointing 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final and speculation of a lucrative contract offer—exceeding €20 million (approximately $22.74 million) annually—from Saudi Pro League team Al Hilal. Amidst this upheaval, Italian outlets reported that Inter officials are eager to engage with Fabregas for the managerial role, especially with the Club World Cup approaching in less than two weeks. Inter is set to face Liga MX’s Monterrey on June 18.
