Carmelo Anthony Joins NBC as Analyst

This coming fall, Carmelo Anthony is set to join NBC studios as an analyst for games broadcast on both NBC and Peacock. Yet, prior to that new role, he will receive a prestigious accolade as part of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025.

Induction Ceremony Details

Joining him during the induction ceremony will be two prominent figures from his career, Allen Iverson and Dwyane Wade, who have been chosen to present him at the event.

Anthony shared his heartfelt sentiments on social media, reflecting on his unique journey in basketball. He expressed gratitude for the recognition of three decades in sports, stating, “If you stay true to who you are, then the journey is always worth it,” along with a heartfelt message on journeying through life’s highs and lows.

Scheduled for September 6 in Springfield, Massachusetts, the Hall of Fame ceremony will feature Iverson, a former teammate from the Denver Nuggets, and Wade, one of his closest friends in the game, in a ceremonial role. The NBA shared a warm welcome to Anthony, praising him for his distinguished career, which includes being named one of the top 75 players of all time, earning three Olympic gold medals, and now transitioning to his role in sports broadcasting.

Class of 2026 Honorees

In addition to Anthony’s induction, the ceremony will also honor other outstanding members in the Class of 2026. Candidates for induction such as Dwight Howard will be presented by legends like Patrick Ewing and Dennis Rodman, while WNBA stars like Sue Bird and Maya Moore have distinguished presenters in their own rights, including coaches and fellow players.
